art dress canvas "Fairy Boutique"

AAHHH!!! so love this canvas and have been wanting to do something along these lines for ever!! So after I won the mojo challenge I decided to pick the dress on a hanger idea...totally forgetting my time for this week WAS SO LIMITED! So its all thrown together with no technique and completed in 5 hrs. whew!
Heres what I did:::::
1.cover a canvas with a prima paper (fairy one)
2.using my south island pine cone branches, gesso'd cone and glued down.
3.OPPS..but first I stuck on the banners and peart string. banners are calico and lace netting.
4.glued on leaves and flowers etc.
5.created the cute as dresses..so much fun. inked using Tim holtz colours.
6.used stems from paper roses for vines.
7.inked and gesso'd around the outer edge.
All simple and easy as time was limited to 2 nites really. So no extras..you could go on and on!!

I just love the tissues paper from Typo, cant get it anymore here in whangarei!!!!! what am I going to do!!! Anyway, the hot air balloon was actually spose to be a birdcage!! but of course I turned it sideways...and a light bulb went off!!

2.covered chipbds with pva and heat gunned till it bubbles.
3. again inked, although I did colour them before the pva went on!!!!!!!!!!!

7.Faiths tin pieces
7a. Brendas feathers from her road kill pheasants!!
8. all the rest you can see and figure it out with what you have in your stash.

red canvas

Ahh...canvas obsession!
1. scrunched up tissue paper and pva'd it to canvas. dried and painted red.
2.texture paste stencil and paris napkin glued on.
3.inked and dripped  ink and painted red over dried paste.
4.added layered papers on left with dictionary paper screwed up and inked.
5. added bit and pieces to top. Red flowers are metallic red vinyl from spotlight, I just made them up and inked backs , chipbds are from twiddleybits aust.
6.outer edges of canvas are covered in dictionary paper and inked with ??brushed corduroy T/H.
7.Intend to do another red canvas as the neighbour wants one, so then she can choose the one she likes the best.
7. canvas is approx. 50cm long and 25 wide with a inch an 1/2 edge.

safety pin hanger for mojo inspiration at Artistic Creationz

Thrown together in a very quick and creative way, using corrugated box as the base with a strip of hessian, lace on denium and cotton lace.
topped with corrugated flower and a few paper flowers and altered key by faith, and a cotton butterfly on corrugated bd on denium. Stamped calico trim and coloured with gelato wash.
Actually the denium and lace was part of a banner set hanging over my veggie garden since last nov...so now very raggy...cant throw out good denium!! re-use it!! yah!
